One visit now, or a repair bill in April.

Water left in irrigation lines freezes, expands, and cracks pipe, fittings, heads, and the backflow preventer. Most of the damage is underground, so you find it when the spring start-up turns into a leak.

A ProScapes blowout clears every zone with a commercial compressor at regulated pressure — enough air volume to move the water out of the low points, not so much that it damages the heads. We shut the controller down for the season and leave the system ready for spring.

“Of all the companies I called to give me an estimate, Maddi from ProScapes is the ONLY person who followed up with me. She is so conscientious, had great recommendations and took my drawings and turned them into a fabulous reality. Her team was on time, knew exactly what to do and were flexible with my suggestions while on site. They came back a year later to fix a couple of things that didn’t grow back. I recommended them to my neighbors and they too had a very positive experience.”

“We asked them to replace a deteriorating concrete block wall (which we never liked) with a wall of large natural boulders and, if they could, preserve some mature evergreens in the process, and they exceeded expectations. The outcome is beautiful and timeless.”

Questions

Blowout FAQ.

How much does an irrigation blowout cost?
From $60 per home. Your rate depends on two things: whether 3 or more nearby homes are booking together (that is the $60 neighborhood rate), and your zone count — systems up to 7 zones have a flat standard rate, and 8 or more zones are quoted on the confirmation call. Enter your address and zones in the form and your rate is emailed right away.
When do blowouts happen?
Fall blowouts begin in mid-October and run until the ground freezes. Routes are built by neighborhood and filled in the order requests come in, so reserving early gets you an earlier, more predictable date. We confirm your date as your area comes up on the schedule — calling us after you submit the form locks it in fastest.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. We need to reach the irrigation controller (often in the garage) and the shutoff valve or backflow preventer (often in the basement or a utility room). Tell us in the form whether we can get to them without you, and we will plan the visit accordingly.
Why does my system need a blowout?
Water left in the lines expands when it freezes and cracks pipes, fittings, heads, and the backflow preventer. A cracked backflow alone can cost several hundred dollars to replace, and buried pipe breaks often are not found until the spring start-up floods the yard. A blowout clears the water out of every zone with compressed air.
Can I just drain the system myself?
Draining lowers the water level but does not get the water out of the low points in the lines, which is where it freezes. A proper blowout uses a high-volume compressor, zone by zone, at a regulated pressure that clears the lines without damaging the heads.
What about the spring start-up?
We offer that too. Ask when we call, and we will put you on the spring list — start-up, a coverage check on every zone, and a controller reset for the season.
Which cities do you cover?
Eagan, Apple Valley, Burnsville, Lakeville, Rosemount, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota Heights, Savage, and the surrounding south metro, plus the Twin Cities inside the 494/694 loop. If you are on the edge of that, ask — it depends on route density that week.

Reserve before the routes fill.

Takes about a minute. Your rate is emailed instantly and your spot is held on the route.
